TEAM STORCK – MRW BAU is making a strong statement for the 2026 season: with the signings of Matthew Walls and Edgar Cadena, two internationally proven riders strengthen our roster, adding significant depth and ambition in sprints, Classics, and demanding stage races.
Matthew Walls joins STORCK – MRW BAU from Groupama–FDJ.
The 27-year-old Brit is an exceptionally versatile rider who has already proven his class at the highest level – including winning Olympic gold in the Omnium. Walls brings not only explosiveness and race intelligence, but also the experience that makes the difference in hectic finales and challenging race situations. He will take on a key role in sprints and Classics, elevating the team with his leadership and experience.
“We are delighted to welcome Matthew Walls to our team. He is a strong and ambitious rider who has already shown great maturity and experience despite his young age. We know what he is capable of in sprints, and we are confident that he will bring real value to the team – both in the Classics and in bunch sprints as part of our leadership group,” said CEO Julian Rammler.
With Edgar Cadena, the team also welcomes a rider perfectly suited for demanding terrain. The Mexican joins from Team Petrolike and is regarded as a strong climber with a true fighting spirit. In his home country, Cadena is already a well-established name – and he now brings that same mentality to STORCK – MRW BAU as one of our leaders. In stage races and challenging race scenarios, Cadena will target strong results and provide stability and strength in the mountains.
With Walls and Cadena, STORCK – MRW BAU secures two riders whose strengths complement each other perfectly: speed and experience for the fast races, combined with climbing ability and leadership qualities for the tough days. This combination makes the team stronger, more competitive, and clearly focused on ambitious goals in the 2026 UCI Europe Tour.
