I began cycling at the age of eight, mountain biking around the Pennines with my father.
With ten, I joined the Manchester Velodrome, where I started competing on both the track and the road.
At fourteen, I was selected for the Great Britain talent programme and went on to represent GB across junior and U23 categories in both disciplines. During this period, I won 12 national titles and 11 European titles on the track and achieved five UCI road victories, including a stage win at the Baby Giro.
I turned professional in 2021 with the German WorldTour team BORA – hansgrohe, where I secured two road wins, including the UCI ProSeries (1.Pro) Gran Piemonte in Italy. That same year, I represented Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympic Games, winning gold in the Omnium and silver in the Madison.
In 2024, I joined the French WorldTour team Groupama–FDJ.
